1. Editions
Test the real workflow before purchase
Evaluation is the freely available edition for checking TdmsSlice with your own TDMS files. It uses the same core reading, supported-format, preview, metadata, and safety behavior as Standard.
CSV export in Evaluation is limited to 100 samples per export.
One-time purchase for practical use
Standard removes the Evaluation CSV sample limit. It does not create a separate compatibility tier or require a different application.
2. Standard license: one PC
- License unit
- 1 license = 1 PC
- Shared PC
- Multiple people may use TdmsSlice on the same licensed PC.
- Multiple PCs
- A separate license is required for each PC in use.
- Replacement PC
- The license may be moved after use on the old PC has ended.
The one-PC condition is a license term rather than hardware-bound DRM. TdmsSlice Standard does not use machine fingerprinting for activation.
3. Offline registration and use
Standard registration uses the license file supplied to the purchaser.
Select Register Standard... in TdmsSlice and choose that
file. Validation is performed locally.
- Machine binding
- None
- Online activation
- Not required
- Recurring online validation
- Not required
- Normal use
- Offline
TdmsSlice does not require a license server or recurring connection to Seven Dwarfs Software during normal use.
4. Version rights
A purchased TdmsSlice Standard 1.x license does not expire. If fixes or improvements for Standard 1.x are published, that license can be used with those 1.x releases.
A future major version may use a separate license or purchase model. Purchasing Standard 1.x does not promise entitlement to every future major version.
5. Support is separate from the license
A Standard license grants the Standard product rights described here; it does not by itself include a guaranteed human-support contract, service-level agreement, or fixed response time.
Read the TdmsSlice Support Policy →6. Third-party software
TdmsSlice includes third-party software components. Those components
remain subject to their own licenses and notices. The distribution
includes a LICENSES folder and
THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt for the applicable third-party terms.
This product license information does not replace or restrict rights granted under applicable third-party open-source licenses.
7. About this page
